Christmas has come.
The New Year is yet to be born.
Night skies are lulled by a waxing moon.
Snow falls.
Shinney ice laces the air.
Coyotes howl.
Winter's deep chill prevails.
Salty tears fall.
I will sleep peacefully tonight,
Knowing that you will be there,
In my dreams.....loving me.
We will be warm.

Children of France....1965
We were on the bus...traveling from Paris....to...somewhere else in France. Don't remember where ..right now.
These children appeared to be alone, in a bombed out building ...a result of WWII....a dirty, unrepaired, unkept, unsightly small village in France, which had not been rebuilt..after the war.
I wonder if that town remains bombed out..rejected....forgotten.
And, I wonder if these beautiful children made it to adult-hood...or if they too were rejected and forgotten.
Moments after I snapped this frame, from the window of the bus, the little girl lifted her skirt and exposed her sadly naked baby body. I wondered where the parents were.
Most of us in America, haven't a clue just how well off we are.
Say your blessings every day and be thankful....for the beauty and bounty with which we have been blessed.

DRAGONFLIES............in and out of my life.
Dragonflies...hovering...protecting....bringing messages.
Dragonflies in February, in the cold stiff winds.
Dragonflies in paintings...on clothing...calendars...wallpaper ... napkins... papers.......everywhere.....every day.
Dragonflies......bringing messages.
I believe.

Picnic Invitation ...to dine with the Rattlesnakes!
1
Look closely at the sign beneath directions to the picnic table in Petroglyph Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Yes, there is a second sign which seems to be notifying everyone that there are indeed Rattlesnakes in the area of the picnic table.
This picnic area did not appear to be used often.......DUH!

City Lights...........Albuquerque, New Mexico
We rode up the tram to the top of Sandia Mountain Ridge, when it was still light........about sundown.
After eating at the restaurant, we came out to find this stunning night view of Albuquerque....a city of around 700,000 people in Northern New Mexico.
My youngest son was with me. It was another special moment in my life.
Orange.....a color which belongs to the Southwest.
These lovely orange Champagne Poppies were blooming in the historic plaza of Albuquerque, New Mexico.....several Summers ago...when my Mett was still alive and there with his brother and me.
It was a beautiful and joyous day...that I now hold in my heart.
