As of today, July 31,2010, Ranch Rosalie Mariposa has six starter cows....3 baby girl cows, better known as heifers, and their mamas. And for my birthday Monday, the 2nd of August, I gifted Ranch Rosalie with two red roan Quarter Horses.
The cows are: Rosalie Mariposa and her mother, Miss Rosa; Nancy Lou and her mother Mary Lou; and Sweet Sofia and her mother, Mama Selena.
The two beautiful red roan horses are: 2yr old Lovely Camila, a red roan filly and future brood mare and 5yr old Nevada, a red roan gelding. "Lovey" and "Nevada" are both registered Quarter Horses with foundation papers.
As Ranch Rosalie Mariposa grows and develops, I will post information.....Enjoy !

RANCH ROSALIE MARIPOSA
RANCH ROSALIE MARIPOSA...........is being born.
Ranch Rosalie Mariposa will be located in the beautiful San Luis Valley of Southern Colorado in a community called Mogote.
Mogote is located just a few miles...maybe four....down the road from Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Rail Museum , where you ride on an anuthenic steam locamotive thru a mountain pass and down into Chama, New Mexico.
The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Rail Museum can be found on the corner where highway 285 makes a right angle and there is a sign saying, " 6 miles to Antonito".
The town of Antonito is about thirty miles South of Alamosa, a little bit larger....but still not very big....town which is about 17 miles from the Great Sand Dunes of Colorado National Park.
Antonito is the nearest "town" to Mogote and thusly, Ranch Rosalie Mariposa's actual mailing address will be Antonito, Colorado...I think.
We are excited about the upcoming birth of Ranch Rosalie Mariposa and will sharing photos and stories with you...as things develop.
