A Snail's Pace

One of the most desirable traits of Santa Fe, New Mexico, is the way things happen at a "snails pace". Because of this sleepy, dreamy way of life... everyone has time to "stop and smell the roses".

This beautiful high desert snail was on the courtyard wall of Nedra Matuchi Gallery. I had not thought that New Mexico would have a snail population as the climate is so arid, but there he was.....in all of his natural spendor.

I loved way Mr. S.F. Snail had positioned himself on a background so close to the color of his body and abode. I wonder if he still dwells there. I shall look for him next Summer.
